Im not introducing anything. Its a simple equation so let me use the methods I used in math lab as a TA.
You and I went to a party. You drank 5 times more glasses of Boones Farm than I.
so
if I drank 5 glasses we would be looking at this.
X=2 x Y
where X is you. This is called dependent variables.
Now lets introduce our friend brassmonkey in to equation and say that both of you had 5 times more than I did. Not you have what we call independent variables. Because (pay close attention) you could have 1 glass on Boones and BM 24. Or you could have 2 and BM 23. You see the difference?
X + BM = 5 x Y
Consider this to be you GED test.
