I have some friends who are originally from in St.Pierre and they have a healthy disrespect for Quebec AND New Brunswick French -- not the people, the language variances. They consider Quebec French as slang and somewhat insulting to the French language.
That said, having lived in Northern Ontario, and a LOT of time in various areas of Quebec and New Brunswick... one thing I think is safe to say, that there is much more of a rivalry between Euro French/Quebec and New Brunswick -- people of those two provinces seem to just despise one another.
