The amount of greed WITHIN the industry makes me sick sometimes.
As someone that has already done this and posted on GFY the results and how to recover ads from ad blocker my advice is to not bother.
Do you want to spend your time building some thing someone is offering to you for free. Yes there is a rev split, but the reality is that a rev split is the only way this makes sense.

Say you build your own, this will cost you time to have a solution built and put into place, you now have to have your guy update it daily.
Your guy will be working on this every day, why not have someone else deal with it and have him work on more meaningful things.
Because the value of gaining your blocked ads is low to the advertiser as only a small % of those people will click the ads.
The only business model (and the least greedy) that works for this is a revsplit.

The profit margin on this is/was thin when factoring in the server cost, and time to maintain the core setup.
But I wouldn't say that it made less than the server cost, we both saw the same numbers when we did this and they worked out to about (before costs) 0.005 - 0.01 CPM
But this is a revshare/revsplit deal, even if the vaule works out to only .0001 CPM it is still found money.
The publisher is not being paid a standard CPM rate per IMPR nor is the buyer paying a standard CPM rate to show the ads.

Showing ads that are related or has a value for the user are not a problem. How to get laid tonight and show info about this including a related ad that really does the job is where the user is looking for. 16 banners around the info about that is dick is to small is annoying.

Ad blockers come with an important asterisk: while they do benefit a ton of people in major ways, they also hurt some, including many who don?t deserve the hit.

Google?s SVP of advertising and commerce, Sridhar Ramaswamy :

It?s not just the advertisers who are responsible, and I think a lot of people recognize that. It?s the publishers (those sites that feature ads in a way that disrupts the user experience) that also need to be an active part of the solution.

Ad Blocking: Where Do We Go From Here? A PPC Agency View

Its funny to see on our test site 666tube.com: Porn videos where we show ad for premium adblocker we have a CTR of 4.9% (ad only shown when adblocker is installed)

By using The next step of performance network is just more income with or without adblockers and users with adblocker is extra income. (all banners inside geniusbanner.com can be target on keyword and/or content)
The 4.9% CTR you see, what part of that would you say is because of the ad you are showing people?
If someone is going to your test site with ad blocker turned ON and they then see ads telling them their ad blocker is not working and they should update to a premium ad block servers one would think these people maybe curious enough to click and see if they can get a better service to block your ads.
Have you run a test using any ads (normally found in adult) other than targeting ad block users to update their ad blocker?
Your test seems a limited, maybe so you can show great results to prospect clients?
