Mark was only 18 when he died this week. After doctors exhausted all the options with chemo and other treatments, the only option on the table left was a super expensive medication from US that needed to be approved in EU first. Over 16000 folks pulled whatever money we could to pay for that, after 2 weeks medication arrived last Friday. Mark was already so weak they could not give him this cure to him. His heart stopped beating on Tuesday. Today was his funeral. His biggest dream was to go fishing with his father again. RIP Mark. Where you are now, there is no more chemotherapy.
That does not add anything to the discussion, I know. Would that medication help him ? We will never find out...Have the chemo killed him, perhaps... There are things in live we have to accept without knowing possible outcomes. I am typing this with tears in my eyes. There is never good moment to die...but Mark was fighting to the end.
