Andy Warhol is a shining example of how art critics and influential social circles can turn a hack into a world renowned artist. I saw some of his work at the Smithsonian, including the soup can, and wanted to puke. The guy really painted a fucking picture of a Campbells Soup can, and it's considered a masterpiece.
