Same with rock music.
It simply does not look that there are actual "real rockers" out of the newer generation.
Why no pink floyds of the today.
It is not like people stopped loving real rock.

All of the bands that you mentioned were what I would consider real pioneers. Add Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, we could probably name half a dozen more. What makes each of these bands "great" is that they all have their own true, pure sound. If you heard a brand-new song over the radio that you never knew existed by any one of those bands today, you would probably be able to pinpoint the band within a few guesses. Most modern rock is not like that at all. Too much straight up copying instead of melding of styles.
I grew up on all of that stuff. I still listen to that, but modern rock I don't listen to it all. Every now and then a modern metal band might catch me but it's very very rare. If I'm listening to metal is most likely going to be Slayer or some other metal hairband from the 80s or 90s.
I still love rock 'n roll, heavy metal, but truth be told I very rarely listen to it anymore. Though I will go to the concerts any day. Just grabbed some Tool tickets yesterday. Not the same era, but real pioneers. Unique sound that they created based on all of their influences.
