Let them carry on believing in fairy tales. The problem is the leeway religions are given. No tax breaks, no special privileges paid by the tax payer, and absolute adherence to the law of the land.

The recent child abuse scandal in the RC Church was covered up because it was priests.
The recent child abuse scandal in the UK Muslim community was covered up because it was Muslims.
Ireland still ban abortions and only legalised contraception in 1985.
The problem is we still have not separated Church and State completely. It will take a huge effort after 6,000 years + of them using each other.
People should be allowed to worship dog turds, just don't ask for any special privileges.
