However it's then right back to the same thing Iraq & Afghan are that has dragged on for 10+ years.. Dealing with the vacuum of power and the insurgency and war lords which fills the gaps.

There is no quick fix to any of these countries with out "stable" govts that have solid military and police forces, something that just will not happen in any short order as long as there are so many fractions that hate each other.

IMO that only real solution to the Middle East is cut it into pieces and give each sect their own damn states.
