Now back to the initial topic:
I used to ride a bike in France (a Japanese one). We had a lot of fun riding it with my wife and believe me, it's the only practical way to drive around Paris (you can ride between lanes there).
Then we had kids and I kept riding to the office and back but my wife would no longer ride with me.
Finally, I moved to Canada and the fuckin SAAQ (Quebec driving licences and vehicle registrations) doesn't recognize foreign bike driving licences, you can't ride between lanes and you are fucked 50% of the year so I gave up on it.
