Whether you 'think' someone is guilty or not is unimportant. Whether they are guilty and whether they can be proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt is what matters. That's why we don't have a judicial system based solely upon the question of 'are there any witnesses without an obvious reason to make this up'....

I have no idea if he is or is not guilty of anything. I find it increasingly annoying that so many people are willing to pretend they know without a shred of evidence being presented or an actual trial taking place. We aren't talking about whether someone farted or not... we are talking about a life-altering criminal act (for the accuser and the accused) and it deserves to be given a whole lot more factual inspection than it has been given so far.

At this point, I hope EITHER James Deen or Stoya end up in prison. Either he did it and belongs there, or he didn't and her actions are sufficient to earn her a trip somewhere involuntarily. Th severity of these accusations are not being given anywhere near the amount of investigation they deserve.... whether 100 people on twitter say he is awful or 100 people on twitter say he is a great guy is damn near irrelevant. If they have something to say, they ought to be saying it in court under oath.
While I don't necessarily disagree with your statements, I think it should be pointed out that the general public/media has the right to evaluate others by whatever methodology they choose...whether it is fair or not. If we want to diminish the number of these "media convictions", then the focus should be on convincing the public of the benefits of waiting until all the fact come in, instead of blaming the media for reporting allegations.
