He goes to Saudi Arabia, meets this hot, religious, devoted chick. He brings her back, she's everything he hoped for. She eggs him on, and in her eyes, only a martyr is good enough. She probably had the contacts, and they actually are a kind of bonny and clyde, but an islamic radical version.
