I wouldn't, at least not yet. I'd wait to see them really compete against other car makers first. I want a high-tech car, but I want a "car" with computers in it, not a computer with wheels on it. The Google car while I'm sure is interesting to some looks really boring to me.
Google and Apple should do what Microsoft is doing, and just license technology to car makers. I've always like GM cars but the computer screen and interface are terrible. Hard to use, not intuitive at all, slow, and just a total mess. The best in-car interface is Tesla, but even then its not as natural as using iOS or Android.
