This is a big part of the problem. You have those girls who are telling the truth and then some girls who just talk out their ass to get attention.
I know one girl who has now accused three different people of inappropriate contact with her, either flat out rape, attempted rape and/or abuse.
Yet it's not likely that ANY of the stories are true. Not that I believe in victim blaming but her story has changed so many times with each new guy it's hard to imagine anything this chick says is true.
So now when a real victim is abused and goes to tell her story people have a hard time believing it could be true.
