Psychiatrists and the drugs they give work, they work for millions if people, why wouldn't they for you. Just try it.
Get some simple job with little stress, a change of environment with new people will do you good. I doubt they want a nice CV in a café or whatever.
As I understand you're a foreigner in London - it might also be an easy way to get a job if you find people from your country there. I'm sure they have a Facebook group, just ask there if they have something for you.
Then when you're in a better place mentally, you can think about getting a good job or continuing your project.
