Not long at all, but it depends on the drone. Some drones use a second low-res camera and other sensors to look down and "see" where they are in space which helps with stabilization. If your drone works the same way, it may not work well inside your house if it can't see detail in your floor or carpet, so flying inside may be trickier to learn than flying outside.
