He has Parkinsons so bad that he can't talk or write at this point according to his family. They described him as "trapped in his own body".
That statement wasn't written by him or told to someone by him because he can't physically do that.
It's just something that his handlers made up on their own.
He might have very well agreed with it if he were healthy. After all he converted to Islam back in the 1970's when it was "cool" to do that in the black community.
But now? That's not his words or thoughts.
