Agreed. The problem isn't the men in the chairs. It's the men standing behind them. A lot of money is needed to get elected to anything of importance in the US. That money can't come from the people, it comes from big business. Once elected the winner has to do as he's told to get the funds required to be re-elected.
Gun control, Healthcare, spending on projects, etc. How many of the lobbies are in the interest of the people and how many are for the corporations funding them?
Even simple things like the quality of the food, like the amount of sugar and salt contained, how much of what Washington does is for you and how much for MacDonalds and Cola?
