I think the American public was done with the Republican party in 2008 and 2012. We were at our lowest point in modern times in 2008 (perhaps Baddog remembers another low point, like the late 1960s or early 1970s but I was a kid then). I wonder if the Republican party knew they weren't going to win in 2008 and didn't really try. I remember when McCain was a man and hard to tame; By 2008 he was an old man. I thought Romney had a shot but he represented the problem without a solution - He was Wall Street, he was part of the group that caused all of the financial problems we were having.
Right now the Republican party has been completely hijacked - by Trump and Carson and Fiorina, who really have no political experience at all - which is hardly what we need. I think Cruz is insane and just short of bat shit crazy; I like Rubio but it seems to me he comes off as being a "junior" government employee every time I see him on TV.
I don't like Hilary. I don't think she's lied or even done anything wrong, but.... She was groomed for this position for the past ten or fifteen years - every job she's had was aimed directly at them reclaiming the White House. Bernie... I honestly don't know the first thing about him.
Whatever, it it was it is. The only thing that matters to me is the economy. The rest isn't really important.
