A simple cure just isn't how it goes for viruses...
its called letting it run its course and hope you live... ie. common cold
I did not SAY that combating viruses and bactreria requires the same techniques. I said that even the most complicated and life threatening diseases require a simple cure. Viruses are harder to combat cause they use the host cells to proliferate and make their own enzymes and proteins. But I am sure in near time future there will be some drug that exlusively blocks the transcription of viral genes without affecting the host cells. And maybe this drug is right under our noses, like penicillin was.
