I doubt that its done so much these days in the time of the internet etc, but many many years ago, my older step brother (Who was high up in the Hong Kong police) sent me a gift pack for a tree somewhere in Hong Kong that I owned. It had a picture and a certificate and some legal mumbo jumbo (Which probably said I didn't actually 'own' the tree at all) but It was a nice gift anyway. Of course I was very young and dont have a clue what happened to it - But it was a nice gift.
Just wondering if it still goes on at a fairly official level

If you married me your son could go to NZ with no visas etc - I think so anyway...
