If I saw a huge seal about ready to club me then I would club him right back out of self defense.
My real response: Humans are the assholes at the party of life. We kill, take away land, consume mass quantities of food and plasticy junk, and then when we see an injured animal we spring into action to help it and we pat ourselves on the back for "caring for animals".
