Official unemployment rate in Spain it's about 26%, but actually is much more since official unemployment rate only counts all those who are receiving the monthly unemployment benefit ("be on the dole" is how it is called in english slang??) but many others are not getting this, since already it finished for them and still not found any job. So they are not counting for the official unemployment rate.
I think it can be
40% and even 50%...
I don't know anyone who after losing his job found another... fortunately workers in Spain they have very good redundancy payment, which it has to be payed for the company (45 days per year worked) + monthly salary of unemployment benefit, which it can last 2 years (it depends on how much time the worker has traded to social security through the company)
Bad times for my country. What a lucky these africans.
