NRP special duty rate is $70/hr - and on stat holidays they get double time and a half of that.

I know exactly what my property taxes are - and what our police services cost. This year's budget is $133.6 million (over 90% of which is wages and benefits).

As of Feb/2014 - the median cost in Niagara Region per household for policing in Niagara Region is $655 (
and that was two years ago).
