Or do the "curated approach" where you borrow ideas from "top influencers" and then just copy small bits of their article and respond with your comments, but make sure to give them an attribution link.

That's very true, one blog alone that I've made with quality content and text has made hundreds of sales by itself and it didn't even have that much traffic. I still miss the days where CSVs and RSS were gold.
