Also note, as with all banking, around Christmas there are lot of days when banks are closed. The 6th of January for example is Epiphany, 20 days after Christmas and many banks will not operate on that day.

Thanks for clarifying what that email confirmation meant. As mentioned, I wasn't sure if that confirmation email meant that the transfer was completed and they got a confirmation from the my bank, or as you pointed out, it merely meant it left Paxum's financial institution.

I did the wire transfer request on Dec 31st, so when I saw the Paypal one arrived days ago, I thought I better look into why the Paxum one was late as they were both done on the 31st.
