The other day I talked to an old girlfriend from high school. In the past year she has lost her brother, her father, and then her husband. Last month her other son had a child that was born premature, has a hole in his heart, and they are struggling to keep him alive. On top of all of this she lost most of her income when she lost her husband, and is about to loose her house.
It's stories like this that remind me how lucky I've been. I have no complaints at all.
