I've had the same exact same experience with Certified, but with a dozen WordPress sites that I shoddily maintained for 4-6 years and will now be deleted, so I was looking for a new host and found this thread. Pretty funny reading!
I've decided to keep hosting with Certified. Apart from this situation, which would be devastating to me if the sites were earning, Certified's support has always been the best.
