Here's one non-chemical technique that works: Meditate and Help others
Seriously.
When you meditate, you gain inner peace. You stop JUDGING your thoughts.
It is OVER JUDGMENT that leads to self-absorption that is the CORE of depression.
You learn to acknowledge your thoughts but not JUDGE them.
You learn to live in the moment.
Your SELF becomes LESS the center of the Universe
Also, when you VOLUNTEER, you practice COMPASSION.
The center of your attention moves away from you and on to others
That's how you defeat depression ONCE and for ALL
Chemicals can only make the problem worse... plus they create pscyhological addiction
Remember.... the solution doesn't come from OUTSIDE of you... REAL peace can only come from one place... WITHIN.
