Chicago has some of the most restrictive gun ordinances in the country. Gun stores are banned. There is a ban on both assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Plus last time I checked shooting someone was also illegal.
And yet guns like anything illegal are readily available on the streets. Where there is a demand there will be a supply.
