How do you suggest we get rid of Islam?
In the 12th Century Protestantism emerged, it was ruthlessly crushed until the 16th Century. It took a lot of wars before Christianity was able to progress peacefully with different ways to worship.
The split in Islam started in 632 AD, it split along tribal and national lines. And the killing began. With one sect trying to kill the other sect and take their possessions. Saladin, a Sunni Kurd, their great warrior king who fought against the Crusaders. Spent a lot of his time killing Shia Muslims. Also, he was more afraid of being assassinated by a Muslim that a Crusader.
Research of the Ottoman Empire also reveals how they use terror as a means of control.
Of course, the original use of the Jihad was not for fighting the West or Christians. It was to spread Islam at the point of a sword.
After the invasion of Iraq, the Muslims were unable to sit around a table and talk things through. They resorted to killing.
This isn't about a few individuals, or Nations leaders ordering a regular army into battle. It's about people who believe the other side of their faith deserves to die because they worship differently. The leaders just use that belief and the promise of a place in Heaven if they die.
Which takes us back to Christianity and the emergence of Protestantism and the way it was crushed by one side killing the other on the promise of a place in heaven.
