Woothemes and Studio Press are both built on solid foundations. You can use these themes on standard web hosting packages.
Once you start getting into the fancy/bloated WordPress themes you need a powerful web server along with dynamic caching, memcache and HHVM or PHP 7.
Woocommerce requires a lot of power especially if you have multiple transactions at the same time.
