Ask everybody on the planet and he'll tell you it was made invented in Russia. Also if you forgot, Poland was a part of Russia for some period of time. And one more thing, there was no standard of vodka till 1865 when Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev (he is also an author of the
Periodic table which you were using in school to learn the chemistry) have wrote a doctoral thesis on mixing of water and alcohol, where he states that ideal concentration of pure alcohol in vodka is 38%, which was rounded to 40% and now used worldwide as a standard of vodka.
