Anyone can create a petition Block Donald J Trump from UK entry - Petitions on the government website and once it passes 100,000 signatures it earns a brief debate on the subject in parliament. The signatories this sort of petition attracts pretty much equate to two sorts of people: those who just want to fuck with politicians and make them have to waste 3 hours on a pointless debate, and those who would sign anything you put under their nose just to be part of something in the same way people share/like something on facebook. The only person in the country that thought it was a serious debate was DVTimes.
