This is an opinion, not a fact.
But let's discuss this anyhow - You said "current administration, starting at the top".... Who exactly is that? The Veterans Administration is run by.... Wait for it.... The House Committee on Veterans' Affairs. The House Committee on Veterans' Affairs recommends legislation expanding, curtailing, or fine tuning of laws relating to Veteran's benefits. This committee also has oversight responsibility of the VA. The committee is chaired by Rep. Jeff Miller, and the ranking member is Rep Corrine Brown. They are both... You guessed it, Republicans. In fact, there are twenty-four members on this committee, 14 of which are Republicans, and 10 of which are Democrats. The United States Secretary of Veterans Affairs since 2001 has been - you guessed it - Republican (Anthony Principi, Jim Nicholson, James B. Peake, and Robert McDonald).
So when Palin says "This administration not appreciate veterans" what she really means is Republicans do not appreciate veterans. I mean, The committee that runs the VA is dominated by Republicans, as our current government in Washington DC.
But here is the real truth... If Trump was elected as President, what would change with the VA? Nothing. If Trump is elected the same twenty-four people will most likely be on the board, a handful will be replaced, and.... Business as usual. If Hillary or Bernie is elected President, is it going to have a huge impact on this board or the VA? Nope. It will be business as usual.
This is I what I hate about politics. We are taking something that should be completely bipartisan, saying the "Current administration appreciate veterans" when the truth is it's their own party who is charge of the problem.
