Why fight so hard to be integrated only to segregate themselves anyway? When it was the whites segregating them, it was discrimination (which no doubt it was), but when it's them segregating themselves with things like BET and black (only) award shows, it's perfectly okay to segregate in that case.

You actually can have it both ways and most groups that segregate themselves by race, creed, religion, nationality, sex do.
For example, you can have women's groups that advocate and celebrate woman and men are not going to be part of that but no one would say that woman should only segregate or intergrate because they are female. Same for religion, nationality, etc.
