Insurance premiums would be halved. College fees would disappear and no longer be a reserve for the rich, getting kids off the streets and into jobs would cut crime rates and lower the cost of police, courts and crime. As for a carbon tax, do you think taxing those who are ruining the planet is a bad idea?

Taxing businesses more is a tricky one as it leads to them leaving the US. What needs to be done is tax them in a way they can't use the Third World as a place to manufacture and the US, or any Western country as a place to base themselves, live and sell, then dodge paying taxes.

Passing on their savings to you and your Grandchildren as debt.

As you said the business owned politicians will never allow it to happen. So the ordinary Americans will end up footing the bill. I'm assuming that's not you with your Cayman Island based HQ. LOL

What I will never understand is why anyone earning under $100,000 per year votes Republican. As for dirt-poor farmers in the Mid-West. Turkeys and Christmas springs to mind.
