This really is the problem, not the guns. Modern society has a mental health crisis on its hands and has no clue on how to deal with it. The more stressed out/depressed/unstable people you have crammed into a small space, the more likely one is going to pop a gasket and start killing people.
Now in this case it sounds like it was a small town and he was just tired of getting picked on. That is pretty much the only reason I can think you shoot your two brothers first, then go to school and start taking people out. Make people feel powerless long enough and some of them will fight back...
