btw. from what I see in Spain now is that Arab/ Muslim people here exist, maybe not in such large quantities like in Holland :-) and they usually dont stand out....in negative way.
99,9 % of Pakistanis for example are here hard working people who operate vegetable shops and internet cafes, and thats their business basically...they work from 5 am to 10 pm.
Black guys from what I see - usually also try to do something decent, so they walk on the streets and sell sunglasses, shoes, try to offer their services of house cleaning, help with shopping for other people etc. etc. Basically - they try at least to do something decent. and thats the reality here.
and the Arab/ Muslim guys from Africa? middle east ? very often they operate some kebab shops :-), some of them operate internet cafes (but not as many as Pakistanis), some other butchery shops etc. anyway, the only guys that tried to play football near their friend's shop and the street with a lot of cars passing by were of course Arabs and North Africans....
Oh, and did I mention a lot of black people and some Arabs that also work hard in the agriculture ? picking up fruits, vegetables and so on....
The highest in that "migrant" hierarchy among "color" people are Chinese and said Pakistanis.
Chinese guys always operate their own business, shops that are open 7 days a week with everything that you may need
(they even sell you cigarettes under the desk
), and some other chinese guys - operate restaurants (which are called by some - money laundering spots).
Pakistanis also always operate their own business and basically they have monopoly in vegetable/ fruit shops and internet cafes.
so basically, from what I see - I see no trouble makers here.
some Moroccans and North Africans are engaged in drug trafficking biz, but basically they dont stand out from Colombians, Spaniards or other nations that also sometimes are engaged in some illegal businesses. and who dont like drugs anyway ? so they also offer some kind of services, you may treat it that way....:-P
