And lastly, a lot of people actually LIKE the idea of Trump's wall, one that keeps out illegals and forces them to enter the country legally or not at all.
Trump's the only one taking these hard line stances, and even people who don't really like him are buying in because, well, he's the only one taking those stances. The rest of the pack on the Republican side are all taking softer more tactful approaches, some trying to appease the religious right, others trying to make basically everyone happy. Trump doesn't give a shit about making "everyone" happy. He's all about eliminating everything he sees as nonsense and BS out there, which as I've said is something that appeals to a great many Republican voters.

Absolutely. Yet these are the people they have been voting for, for the last 50 years.
The Wall is just one issue the voters can't see beyond the soundbite. There's a far easier way to stop people coming into any country. Take away all financial benefits and hit those supporting illegal migrants with huge fines and/or prison.
Sending in troops, imports from the Third World, bringing jobs back to the US, etc. Are all great sound bites. Has he spelt out how he will do it and the after effects, such as prices in the shops doubling or trebling?
