The "I think I recall..." part got my attention.
Your memories aren't real for the most part. Memory also doesn't work in the way we prefer to believe (like a recording that can be played back). False memories are ask created with disturbingly ease and are equally convincing. If you begin to probe any memory, you'll start to realize there are actually very few details you can recall and much of what you do recall, is fabricated in the process. The most accurate memories you have are those associated with really strong emotions, trauma or that are recalled with greater frequency.
