Your memories aren't real for the most part. Memory also doesn't work in the way we prefer to believe (like a recording that can be played back). False memories are ask created with disturbingly ease and are equally convincing. If you begin to probe any memory, you'll start to realize there are actually very few details you can recall and much of what you do recall, is fabricated in the process. The most accurate memories you have are those associated with really strong emotions, trauma or that are recalled with greater frequency.

i worded it that way intentionally, btw. i'm not sure where my Mom got them when I was growing up, i'm assuming the grocer, but we did get produce from produce stands then too. and when i was thinking about it, i actually think i've been stifling the fact they've been so very bland for a long time now. of course, they usually accompany other foods and spices so that also masks things.
