Instagram is photos, so about looks, in fact the top 5 most followed accounts are all women: 1) Taylor Swift 49M, 2) Kim Kardashian 48M, 3) Beyoncé 47M, 4) Selena Gomez 46M, 5) Ariana Grande 44M; all singers except Kardashian, all famous before the net. A girl famous just for instagram is:

I quickly browsed top 500 down to 5M followers (myke tyson is #500) and I seen no one related to adult. This is suspect...
At #1000 they got 3.2M followers. This includes indians, pakistani, filipino, brazillians etc. followers who are unlikely customers of cam shows. So I wonder what's a minimum of followers to warranty a $5k+/month sales to a cam girl? One can answer - enough 1 whale followe, and that's true, but this is fished from a sea of leechers.

Probably they're not banning adult accounts and posts also in a desperate attempt to limit the dramatic fall in usage. But in the long run I think either twitter dies (merged into facebook or google+ or so), or bans adult too (re-read this post after 5 and/or 10 years from now).
What I mean it is that you can't get viral as cam girl in mainstream sites and twitter alone seems not the future; so the main viral adult mrketing still happens in the big cam sites (or in porn tubes for hardcore stars, not for cams).
