canada wants syrians to come here and get a nice warm apartment and welfare, etc so there is no need to do things illegally but the fact is most are just using the war in syria as an excuse to blend in with real refugees and make things harder for them and take advantage of it.

i understand you have been living the candy ass life for generations now here in canada and fail to even recognize what the phrase 'people in need' actually means. but generally when people have to flee a country they don't have the option or ability to bring their whole family over with them because it costs money to do that. If they lost everything they clearly can't bring their whole family over. So they do the next best thing. They make sure their family is in the safest part of the country possible, send the older males who are able to work jobs, then they send money, ALL THEIR MONEY, to their families to have them come out and reunite in their new home. That's pretty much exactly how my family did it and my family has prospered because of it--All hard working, all made respectable livings.
I know being canadian you have been programmed to think anyone who gets aid is a completely lazy asshole who is just a leech on society. but the bottom line is this country was built on it's open immigration policies. I may agree that there are limits to how many we can let in without causing cultural chaos, but it is just ignorant to assume these people, who are in obvious need, are any different than our immigrants of the past.
