I know being canadian you have been programmed to think anyone who gets aid is a completely lazy asshole who is just a leech on society. but the bottom line is this country was built on it's open immigration policies. I may agree that there are limits to how many we can let in without causing cultural chaos, but it is just ignorant to assume these people, who are in obvious need, are any different than our immigrants of the past.

i don't have time to respond to the insults but clearly you missed the part where i said canada wants syrians to come here. they don't need to leave families behind or worry about sending money back. they want to bring entire families here. however, not that many want to come. i can understand hoping to go back one day but i find it kind of ironic. i have no problems with people coming to countries legally, as i said.
