That's the main problem with any "outsider" candidate (not that Bernie is an outsider). They won't get support from the established political machinery.
Bernie is, to me, like Ross Perot was - a place for people unhappy with "the system" to go and cast protest votes. But all that does is triangulate and allow a Republican or Democrat to win the Presidency with barely 40% of the vote thus not really having a mandate by the majority to govern.
Fun system, isn't it?
