What do you mean on "he is still Ukrainian"? An ethnic Russian who was born in the Soviet Union, then in 1991 he was declared (note: he was declared by Yeltsin and Kravchuk - nobody asked for his own opinion) as a citizen of the independent country called the Ukraine, which he also finally left to become a refugee in Poland/Italy/Spain/wherever? What exactly makes him Ukrainian? Please explain, because I didn't get your statement.
