It is pretty clear that Apple wants to have the most secure phone in the world. It's whole current and future ecosystem is based on it.
It's only failure here was to not pre-warn customers who have had the finger-scanning 'home button' repaired to the facts of what might happen before the update.
But the short story is never take a update until it is proven for a month (at least a week). I don't volunteer to be a beta tester for something I need to rely on.
I had set myself up to use and rely on the phone as little as possible as ios and app update were costing me more time than I had in making use of it.
It's suppose to be servicing me not the other way around.
I'm sure we will see the same kind of mess with android when they catch-up to Apples security.
