If that's the case, why don't we ever hear about the Hero Timber Workers? Hero Structural Steel Workers? Heroic Garbage Men? Power Line Working Heroes? Super Hero Truck Drivers? Farm Workers? Construction Workers? And lets not forget about those ever so heroic Roofers!?!?! Every job I just listed has a higher mortality rate (and most have less pay) than firefighters, police, and in most cases, the military ---- DURING WAR.
To put things into perspective, 150 U.S. workers die every day. 130 cops died in ALL OF 2015. 83 firefighters died in 2015, and a majority of them were volunteer firefighters. It's media brainwashing. Authority Figure = Hero = We idolize them = We obey them.

Someone who cuts down a tree for corporate America isn't a hero.
Someone who is willing to run into a stranger's house when it's on fire to save the life of someone they've never me IS a hero.
