Reparations should have been paid in the late 1800's just a few decades after the official end of slavery. Similar to when Ronald Reagan paid reparations to the living Japanese people who were forced into internment camps.
But in regards to black people, this reparations issue has lingered over 150 years. IMO, it's too expensive, and too difficult to trace ancestry, to implement. |
