Anything else from Kunta Kanye can be brushed off and forgotten, but here is the thing, most of his fans are working poor and poor, black people. (besides his white 'wanna be black' moron fans)
So with that, poor people do not like when rich people 'fake' being poor. He crossed the line there, so when the truth comes out it was a joke, he will lose pity points with his black fan base and get a heavy flack for it.
If all your friends are all blind, you don't fake being blind to gain pity from them.
